Under the inspiring direction of nominated conductors, 40 outstanding, dedicated artists from renowned Viennese orchestras and ensembles unite to form a musical ensemble that is far more than an orchestra: The Goldmark Philharmonie Wien is a living symbol of the power of music to build bridges – between past and present, between cultures, people, and emotions. Named after the composer Carl Goldmark, whose life was itself characterized by diversity and cultural depth, the orchestra represents an artistic ideal: music as a universal language, as a home beyond all borders.

With a carefully curated repertoire, the Goldmark Philharmonie brings works to the stage that connect Austria with the world, compositions whose roots lie in this region, but whose impact can still be felt globally today.

This new story begins in Vienna, the world capital of music. Here, a philharmonic orchestra is being created that combines the highest artistic quality with openness and a clear commitment to the unifying power of art.

The Goldmark Philharmonie Vienna is a project of the Goldmark Musikverein, which aims to open up new spaces for artistic creation through extraordinary concert formats and to rethink music as a communal experience.

Connecting art – that is our motto, our promise, our invitation to an audience that listens with its heart.
